Some days ago I was talking to my friend Diony about salsa dancing (which we both love) and I told him that sometimes I don't like going to dance clubs because most women there wear very sexy clothes, lots of clevege, lots of leg-showing, etc., and I kind of don't like. But then he pointed out that based on what he has seen most Latina women are sexy. No that sexy anyway, I said.
But then ...
Jason and I attended a communal (don't know if this isthe right word but about fifteen children were baptized during that ceremony) baptism last Saturday at a local catholic church and while not all the women wore sexy clothing, several of them did.
Actually it seemed tome that the mothers and the godmothers were the sexier of all. They were wearing halters and strapples dresses and high heels, they sported nice hair styles, had coqueto make-up, etc., to sum it up they looked very attractive.
I have to admit that I could barely recognize the mother that had invited us to the ceremony. When we met her, only few days before the ceremony, she was wearing regular clothing and had just left her office for the day. But the day of the baptism she looked more like a top model than a regular mother. Maybe she looked like a top mother model or something like that (it's the end of the day at the office and my Englishis now all broken). In any case, I think you get the idea.
Well, I after seeing these sexy mothers I had to admit that not long ago, when I was in my twenties, when I was living in Mexico, I used towear sexy clothes too, short skirts, sexy tops, high heels, etc. But when I moved to California and realized how hippie-like everyone dresses here (plus when I realized how chillier it is), I think I just fell in love with this relaxed atmosphere and totally delved into it.
However, every time I go to non-Latin parties I'm always the sexier (all women wear baggy pants, no makeup, etc., while I wear nice tops, no high heels butnice earrings, etc.) and it kinda feels weird.
When I go to Latin parties on the other hand, I'm either the most conservative or the most casual. And that feels even more weird.
In any case, now it's somehow difficult for me to wear sexy clothes again (say, wear a strapless dress or a halter dress and high heels when I go to Montero's or places like that) and I don't know if it's because of the northern California atmosphere and weather or because I'm aging, or far worse, because I'm turning into a conservative!!! Yuck!!!! Heck no!!! (I'd rather age)
To sum it up, I have to admit that yes, Latina women are sexy and proud of that. My friend was right.
